Words can encourage when given the chance,
And words offered graciously help bring a smile.
Some words spoken gracefully flow like a dance,
Helping others find comfort and rest for a while.
Words can be comforting, loving and kind
Providing a much-needed shelter from rain,
A way to relax when life clutters the mind,
Infuse focus and clarity into the brain.
Words can be soothing and helpful and good,
Spoken sincerely and offered in love,
Giving hope to the weary when they’re understood,
Especially words that God sent from above.
I pray you feast daily on God’s holy word,
No greater words written have I ever heard.
