One Day

September 18, 2023

Now words won’t suffice, and my spirit must groan,
One day I will see and at last will be shown
All that awaits us beyond the great veil,
Eyes opened, a body that’s no longer frail.

With a soul and a spirit that both will be free,
Time will no longer put limits on me,
No sin or temptation, no holding me down.
I’ll be part of the chorus of heavenly sound.

My mind can’t conceive of that heavenly realm
With my righteous redeemer in place at the helm,
Love flowing forever throughout His domain.
We’ll praise Him forever, the Lamb who was slain.

One day He’s returning, oh glorious day.
His returning gets closer and closer each day.
