A Pause to Pray

April 20, 2023

I pause just now dear Lord to pray
For those in need of You this day,
For those whose heart is broken, torn,
Who’ve suffered loss, who cry and mourn.

I lift up those who suffer pain.
Lord help them mend, their strength regain.
I pray for those so fragile, frail,
I pray their faith will never fail.

For those depressed with spirits weak,
I pray they find the joy they seek.
For those now lonely help them see
There’s more to life than “Woe is me.”

So many Lord in need of prayer,
Lord touch each life with love and care.

I am in need of more of God’s mercy. The pain seems greater than I can bear, but somehow I know that Jesus is still with me. As lonely as I have been, craving human interaction. I have been able to speak with strangers , so thank you, God.
Your poetry brings me to tears. Surely, Jesus is using you to encourage those of us who have encouraged others. Who will encourage the encouragers?

    John,

Thank you for this morning’s message…I so needed that!
    Sent with love,
