Sometimes I wonder if I should take time
To capture my thoughts and then put them in rhyme.
It helps me to verbalize what’s in my heart.
I guess painting with words perhaps some would call art.
I’m not fluent in verse or in music or song.
Perhaps that’s the reason it took me so long
To learn I love writing with cadence and form.
For me it seems comfortable, cozy and warm.
Sometimes I’m conflicted, not sure I should share.
If I put my words out there will anyone care?
In the end I decided it’s not up to me.
Words should be shared so I set them all free.
I’ll share from my heart and perhaps touch a few,
Allow others a glimpse into my point of view.
