Little Lucy

It’s hard to believe that our lady’s turned four.
She’s a beautiful Cavey, a puppy no more.
She still likes to cuddle, spend time in our laps,
Her favorite place to curl up, take a nap.

She loves to take walks, to get out in the sun.
She loves to smell flowers and thinks it’s great fun.
She sniffs at the grass like she’s reading the news.
Sometimes she snorts as if she’s been amused.

Her coat is still shiny with black and white hair.
With touches of tan, she stands out with a flair.
She seems quite content, and she seldom will bark,
But she gets all excited on walks in the park.

We love little Lucy; she brings us great joy.
We pray she is with us for years to enjoy.
