How Little We’ve Learned

October 27, 2022

What size is the building for all of the books
It would take to contain what we think we have learned?
But that’s only one section, a small little nook,
So much we don’t know, so few pages we’ve turned.

So much about life that we fail to pass on,
Things we could share that we know to be true.
Life’s more than inventing more ways to have fun.
It’s not about finding more things to accrue.

We came here with nothing, that’s how we will leave.
It’s not what we gather but what we can give.
I have a creator I know and believe,
Through His Son and His Spirit, I learn how to live.

Don’t accept as the truth it’s by chance we are here.
God’s love is a song that our hearts long to hear.
