God’s Word gives me freedom and helps me to fly.
Without it I’m drifting and tossed all about.
Like a kite needs a string to soar high in the sky,
The Lord gives me courage and frees me from doubt.
God’s Word gives directions, my guideposts through life.
Why leave on a trip with no access to maps?
Life’s a long journey with troubles and strife.
God helps me cross rivers though bridges collapse.
My life has endured through the wind and the storm.
The Lord provides shelter when I’m on the ground.
Though I’m showing some age, a bit tattered and worn,
The Lord through His Word points me towards the profound.
Lord You give me guidance, You help me to soar.
I’m free to fly higher than ever before.
