When life’s overwhelming, no wind in my sails,
I pause for a moment and take time to pray.
I remember God loves me and prayer never fails.
I know if I’m open, He’ll show me the way.
Sometimes all the messes encountered in life
Can leave me perplexed, I don’t understand why.
In the midst of the troubles, the turmoil and strife,
The Lord paints a rainbow across the dark sky.
I don’t need all the answers, I just need to trust.
He’ll lead me and guide me, protect me in storms.
The Lord is my refuge, the rest turns to dust.
One day I’ll be with Him, take on a new form.
This life’s a small journey, a short span of time.
My spirit’s eternal, God’s glory’s sublime.
