Words Echo

September 25, 2021

The words we write or speak today
Leave echoes that forever stay.
They linger in the cosmic dust
That forms the past, provides it thrust.

Some words can hurt, bring hate or fear,
While others comfort, draw us near.
Why fill the air with words so dark,
When words can be a meadow lark?

May words of comfort be the sound
That echoes through where grief is found.
May words of love cut through the hate.
Reach out, embrace, it’s not too late.

I pray the words I write ring true,
Convey the love of God to you.
