Lord sprinkle my heart with some kindness today.
May it season my speech and the words that I say.
Lord help me with words that will help spread Your light,
And offer encouragement, say what is right.
Lord help me find wisdom, then share what I’ve found.
Help it find hearts and not fall on the ground.
Give me the courage to write what I see,
To speak of the changes still needed in me.
I know I’m not perfect, but I seek Your will.
I cherish these moments of quiet and still.
Lord help me know truth ‘midst the follies of man.
Not blindly just follow, but bravely to stand.
Lord help me be gentle with words that I write.
Help others to listen, not put up a fight.
Lord help us Your people, who pray in Your name,
To seek Your forgiveness, our nation reclaim.
