What can I write but what comes from the heart?
For words to be meaningful that’s where they start.
I begin in this stillness and take time to pray,
For me early morning to start off my day.
I then begin reading, ingesting God’s word,
Allowing my mind to absorb what I heard.
Then reaching inside I examine my soul,
So many places for God to make whole.
In the stillness and silence, I seek words to write.
Words help me reflect on my journey towards light.
They help me dig deeper, become more aware.
They help me articulate feelings and share.
I pray as I share what my heart has to say,
I’ll help someone else who is lost find their way.
