I’m grateful for mornings to quietly pray,
A peaceful beginning to start off my day,
Some coffee to clear out the fog from my brain,
Some scripture to ponder, some insight to gain.
Lord thank you for words that are ancient and old,
Preserved through the ages more precious than gold.
Yet Your words are so relevant, showing the way,
Exactly the words that I need for each day.
Lord thank You for listening and hearing my prayer.
Thank You for knowing my heart as I share.
Lord give me the insight to listen and learn.
Give me the wisdom I need to discern.
Lord help me to capture in words that I write
Your message of love to help others find light.
Thankful here for this quiet hour first thing in the morning too. What a blessing! And your words convey how special that time can be.
