Should someone ask what I believe,
Can I explain in simple words,
Make clear the faith that I’ve received,
Deliver well, so I’ll be heard?
The words best used are simple, kind.
Shared from the heart and soul inside,
Not empty words that feed the mind.
Just share in love how Jesus died.
He bled and suffered on the cross.
He took my place, he paid the price.
For me to live, He suffered loss.
God sent His Son, my sacrifice.
We all know well that we have sinned.
But God is perfect, just, and true.
Our impure hearts can’t enter in.
God made a way for me, for you.
Believe His Son who took our place.
Our sins had sentenced us to die.
Through Him our sin is now erased.
Forever live with God on high.
