Instill in me the will to serve
With proper motives simple, pure,
My words and actions when observed
Be found congruent, wise, mature.
As I pen words to fill each page
To share in rhyme what’s in my heart,
I pray my words improve with age,
More love, compassion to impart.
I pray the words I write and share
Will help another known God’s love,
Reach out to Him when life’s unfair,
Find peace descending like a dove.
Lord help me always lift Your name,
In simple words Your love proclaim.
