It’s nice to have some time to think,
Some solitude to sit and be.
But also, nice to share a drink,
Some coffee or a cup of tea,
With those we love, converse aloud,
Share stories of those yesteryears
When we were young and strong and proud,
Those memories that we hold dear.
Though through the years some friendships fade,
Lose track of those that we once knew,
As we share love, new friends are made.
We all could add at least a few.
I pray you’ll always have a friend,
Someone on whom you can depend.
