The stars are still shining, the contrast is stark.
Their light brings such beauty, the night is so dark.
So quiet and peaceful that time before dawn,
I savor the stillness before it is gone.
As I pause to reflect on how vast His domain,
Too awesome’s my God for my mind to contain.
How can I fathom the heavens above,
Or understand fully the depths of His love?
The darkness will fade as it yields to the light,
When God once again brings an end to the night.
I take time to reflect, know that God’s in control.
God understands me, mind, body, and soul.
No matter the depth of my troubles each day,
The Lord is beside me to show me the way.

Brings back some good memories of living on a farm, and seeing a night sky with no interference from other lights or obstructions. Praise God for His creation!
