My rhymes capture thoughts that I’d share with a friend.
I search for the words as I share from my heart.
Each has a beginning, a middle, and end.
The challenge is finding a good place to start.
If I try to embellish the words that I write,
Sometimes I get lost and I take the wrong trail.
If I keep my mind focused and never lose sight
Of the reason for sharing then words will prevail.
If my theme is uplifting and words that I pen
Help others find joy and God’s peace in their soul,
Then I count it a victory, I call it a win.
If I’ve helped spread His light, I’ve accomplished my goal.
I pray you find comfort in words that I share.
Pass them on to another to show love and care.
