Motherly Love

May 8, 2022

There’s nothing as soothing as motherly love,
Like a beautiful sunrise, the call of a dove,
Parched fields bathed in rain on a warm summer’s eve.
There’s nothing so lovely we’ll ever receive.

It’s a valuable gift that is given each day,
The love of a mother, her own special way.
Like a cavern whose depths we can never explore,
The love of a mother runs deep in her core.

What a blessing to honor them, grateful for life,
To make their day special with freedom from strife,
Perhaps give them flowers, a gift, one or two,
Acknowledging gratitude, love that is true.

The love of my mother in every life phase
Will always be honored for all of my days.
I’m older in age and my mother’s now free
To walk golden streets that I too will soon see.

I love this poem about Mothers. My mother has been in heaven many years now.
One day I will see her again.
