We’re each one imprinted, the image of God,
Not just a creature, an empty facade.
Inside He implanted a vacuum, a space
Longing for love and His marvelous grace.
In all of creation mankind’s set apart,
Body and soul mixed with love in our heart.
Confined for a time to this body on earth
Our spirit lives on we were given at birth.
Our maker, creator has formed us to love
Those who surround us and God up above,
The greatest commandment, the sum of them all.
If only we’d listen and answer His call.
One day He’ll return, and we’ll worship and sing,
Acknowledge our maker, creator, and King.
