Take the wreath down from the door,
No longer Christmas anymore.
Another year’s about to start.
I pray the love stays in our heart.
I pray good will is here to stay,
That angry hate will fade away.
God sent His Son to set us free.
May eyes once blind begin to see.
No matter what the year may bring,
I pray our hearts once more may sing.
His love extends through time and space.
I pray God’s people seek His face.
Get on our knees before we stand,
And pray for peace throughout the land.
