The rhymes are now slowing, not writing each day.
It’s much more important to take time to pray.
I’m grateful to God that I still have my wife,
Someone to love me, we’re wedded for life.
I pray for my family, pray for each friend,
“Lord keep them all healthy, when hurt may they mend.”
I pray they know joy and Your peace from above.
I pray they seek wisdom but most of all love.
I pray for our nation, that people may heal,
Both inside and out help the way that they feel.
I pray that the wisdom our forefathers shared
Be taught to our children, they’ll know that we cared.
I pray that Your light will allow us to see.
Help us to follow You, starting with me.
