Another MRI

July 26, 2021

Today another MRI,
A noisy beast that’s loud and tight.
It helps to spread my wings and fly,
Allow my mind to soar in flight.

They saw a spot. They need to know.
They’ll look inside my skull and brain.
If that one spot decides to grow,
The MRI can ascertain.

I have no pain inside my head,
An incidental find last spring.
I don’t have any fear or dread.
I pray it’s still a little thing.

The neurosurgeon checks the spot,
Determines if it’s grown or not.
