Lord show me the right expectation.
Life’s certainly not a vacation.
I’m no longer sure what’s a good day,
Life’s certainly changed ‘long the way.
I’ve prayed for my wife and her pain.
Are my prayers for her healing in vain?
Should I change and just pray for endurance,
That she would know peace and assurance?
Lord I’m not the one in position
To help or to change her condition.
I need help with the prayers I am lifting.
Lord help her heart once more to sing.
Lord teach me the ways I can show love.
Lord shine down Your light from above.
I pray for the faith and the courage
To help her find hope, and encourage,
To lift her up daily in prayer,
Assure her of Your love and care.
