Why live a life that pleases men
If it brings rot, decay within?
I pray I follow God instead.
I pray each day by Him I’m led.
I pray each day I seek not gold
But rather treasure for my soul.
The whims of people change so fast.
The Word of God will always last.
Inside the pages of His Book
Are priceless treasures if I look.
The love I find inside His Word,
More precious words I’ve never heard.
If I take time to read and pray,
To share my heart with Him each day,
I’ll find the love He’s placed inside.
In joy and peace I can abide.
