Neighborhood

March 30, 2021

We love it in our neighborhood,
All neat and tucked away.
Where folks are mostly kind and good.
The squirrels run and play.

Kids ride their bikes, dogs get a walk,
We freely share our views.
We say hello and stop to talk,
We catch up on the news.

We take the time to shoot the breeze,
To share a glass of tea.
Anticipate another freeze,
On that we can agree.

We may not share the tone of skin,
Or country of our birth,
But all have beating hearts within,
And share the planet earth.
