Remembering

March 20, 2024

A poem stirs memories deep in the soul.
It touches the hearts of the young and the old.
The rhyme and the rhythm, a sweet melody,
The words paint a story, a vision to see.

They help bring to mind an old scene from the past
Obscured from the present as shadows were cast.
Those memories, those treasures from long, long ago,
How they shine and they sparkle in light as they glow.

The memories of loved ones and friends we once knew,
The number has dwindled, we still have a few.
Hang on to the memories and don’t let them fade.
Treasure those loved ones and friends you have made.

Don’t miss opportunities, make a new friend.
It takes only a smile and a hand to extend.
