When I’m tempted to worry, enveloped in dread,
Allow visions of darkness to dance in my head,
I call on the Lord and I lift up my prayer.
I know God will hear, I give praise that He’s there.
No matter the struggles that this day may bring,
I know You are with me, my heart can still sing.
I’m wrapped in Your love that’s extended to me.
The world may be dark but through You I can see.
You cast out the darkness, the dread, and the fear.
In Your Book I find comfort in words that I hear.
You comfort my soul in the darkness of night.
I give thanks and I praise You, Lord You are my light.
You give me assurance that You’re in control.
In You I find peace, all is well with my soul.
