A chilling breeze is in the air
Reminding us that winter’s near.
Don’t let it catch you unaware.
A pumpkin pie, a turkey roast,
A football game, big screen TV,
No time to waste, no time to coast,
A Friday morning shopping spree.
Take time to pause with grateful heart.
Give thanks to God, hold hands and pray.
To those nearby, those far apart,
Reach out in love this special day.
May gratitude throughout the year
Extend to others far and near.
