I rise up early, stretch, and yawn,
As morning light begins to dawn.
A quiet time to pray and write,
Reach out to God to be my light.
Lord tune my heart to hear Your voice.
Lord guide my way, make clear each choice.
I need Your guidance every day.
You light my path, show me the way.
Provide me strength to follow You.
You give me life, Your words are true.
Lord give me words to write Your song
That I may sing the whole day long.
Let others know they too can sing,
Know You as Savior, Lord, and King.
