If I read the Bible and earnestly pray,
Your scriptures will guide me and show me the way.
They give me discernment the things I should know,
Provide me direction, which way I should go.
Your Spirit will help me to see, understand
The words You provided, recorded by hand.
Passed down through the ages they’re meaningful, true,
Each time that I read them I see something new.
Your Spirit is with me, I’m never alone.
I don’t need Your number to text or to phone.
Your Spirit inside me sent down from above
Provides me assurance I’m wrapped in Your love.
I’m grateful for those who recorded Your Word.
You guided their hand as they wrote what they heard.
