Obscurity

October 25, 2021

Though my rhymes may remain in obscurity,
I’d rather pen words with sincerity,
Than rising to fame writing pages of filth
Consumed by the masses ignoring the guilt.

If the size of my audience comes to expand,
I pray that it comes by the touch of God’s hand.
I pray that I serve what God puts on my plate.
God grant me the wisdom and patience to wait.

I pray I continue to write from my heart.
I pray that my passion will never depart.
I pray I will always with words I convey,
Be a blessing to others who read them someday.

I pray that I’ve listened. I pray that I’ve heard.
I pray what I write is aligned with God’s Word.
