Lord search my soul, reach deep inside,
Reveal what’s hidden by my pride.
I’m ready Lord to have a look.
You are the author of my book.
Let’s read the chapters of my past,
Write in the margins things that last,
Make note of any lessons learned.
Read every page, leave none unturned.
Help me to see Your point of view
That I may learn and see what’s true.
Lord show me things that hold me down,
Highlight the gems that make a crown.
Reveal the locks, insert the key,
Remove my chains, Lord set me free.
Help me each day to right a wrong,
And lift You up each day in song.
