I shy away from ones who boast,
The arrogance I dislike most.
The selfishness that grows with pride
Can etch away the good inside.
I much prefer humility
In those with great ability,
Who honor God and lift Him up,
Seek after Him to fill their cup.
God’s gifts and talents from above
Should graciously be shared in love.
Develop them, refine a skill,
Then seek the Lord, His path, His will.
Just serve the Lord, give Him your best,
And know each day you’re truly blessed.
