There are weeks when our schedules are crazy
When our lives like the skies can get hazy.
We’re pulled in so many directions
The time slips away for reflections.
I can tell when my life’s interrupted,
My quiet time’s squeezed and disrupted.
There’s only one person to blame
It’s a habit that I must reclaim.
Lord speak through Your Word each new morning
And open my heart to Your warning.
The time can slip away, as the days become a week,
I can soon lose the peace that I seek.
Lord help me to start each new day
As I read words of truth and I pray,
Spending time with you Lord before sunrise,
Helps me focus with more than my eyes.
