Echoes of Bravery

I hear echoes of bravery, young ones and old,
Lives lost in the wars, bodies buried and cold.
Keep their memories with us, their great sacrifice.
Lives given for freedom now roam paradise.

They answered the call so that we could be free,
So many brave soldiers for you and for me.
I pray we take time, and we show our respect,
A time to remember, to pause and reflect.

So many have died on the shores far away.
Give thanks as we honor them this special day
Set aside to remember the lives that were lost.
Give thanks for our freedom, remember the cost.

We honor the ones who have served us so well.
Listen to loved ones with stories to tell.
