When young I rushed like life’s a race,
But realized in later days,
A marathon is more life’s pace.
I see it more each passing phase.
It’s not about how fast I run,
About the places I have sailed,
Or even parties, having fun.
There’s more to life beyond the veil.
Our life is more than time on earth.
Our time is but a whisper here.
The clock begins to mark our birth.
Beyond the grave is not to fear.
The Lord said come, there’s so much more.
Can’t wait to see beyond the door.
