As I look back across a full year in review,
I’ve left in my path some debris still askew.
So much in my life that is due for a change,
To fix or to mend or at least rearrange.
Some years seem more difficult, hard to survive,
Little time left to focus on what makes me thrive.
When I turn inward, neglect others’ needs,
It’s easy to stray off the trail in the weeds.
I want to reach out and to find ways to share,
To offer assistance to those who need care,
But I don’t always know how to help with their pain,
To help them recover, their strength to regain.
I pray as I write that the words that I rhyme
Will offer encouragement, help in due time.
I pray as I share of my journey through life,
That I can help others find peace amidst strife.
The journey’s not over, so much left to write,
I pray that I’m able to share love and light.
