Remember the victims who gave up their lives
Who left behind children and husbands and wives.
Remember the sacrifice, courage to save,
By those who responded, the fearless and brave.
A nation united to conquer our fear,
Protect all the freedoms we value so dear.
Outpourings of kindness, the fabric of hope,
Gave us courage we needed to heal and to cope.
