I pray that the words that I write scatter hope
That blooms in the valley and up on the slope.
I offer encouragement, “Make a fresh start.
Let hope spring eternal inside of your heart.
“In the face of discouragement hold out your chin,
Pick yourself up and start over again.
“In the face of adversity, you can still smile.
It won’t last forever, endure for a while.”
I pray that your troubles will not be in vain.
I pray that the lessons you learn you’ll retain.
I pray through the trials you’ve been through and known,
You’ve leaned on your faith and your wisdom has grown.
The life you experience, words that you say,
I pray will help others still finding their way.
I pray that you’re walking and holding the hand
Of the Lord who brings hope and can help you to stand.
