I don’t know what this day will bring.
I pray I’ll have a song to sing.

I pray for words to start my day.
Lord help me find the words to say.

Lord help me write for these in need
That they might hear your voice, take heed,

A word to touch the broken heart
To know your love, let healing start,

The words to break through fear, despair,
To find your peace, your love, your care.

I pray for words to end the hate.
I pray divisions aren’t too great.

I pray for words to end the blame,
The lashing out, attempts to shame.

We need you Lord to heal our land.
Lord help us lift our voice and stand.
