Lord You’re in control, help me know what to say.
Help me learn how to listen to You as I pray.
I’m not in control, help me listen and learn.
In You I have life, it’s not something I earn.
If I seek on my own what the outcome should be,
Then I’m walking in darkness, Your light I can’t see.
Help me to trust You in all that You do.
Give me the faith to know Your Words are true.
It’s not up to me to determine my fate,
But in prayer bring my burdens and then to just wait.
To trust that Your timing is always the best,
Know You’ll lead me through it, regardless the test.
Lord help have faith to turn loose and let go,
To put into practice the truths that I know.
