I think a kind and gentle word
Is one more likely to be heard.
A peaceful word can soothe the soul.
We need more folks to fill that role.
My soul needs quiet time alone,
Not constant chatter from the phone.
Some time in quiet solitude
Restores my peace and lifts my mood,
A time to rest and just abide,
A time to stop and look inside,
To pause, reflect, and be aware,
Each heartbeat and each breath of air.
When I spend time in quiet prayer,
I find more gentle words to share.
