What can I write that’s not already penned?
What words will share truth on which others depend?
I just share what I know to be true in my heart,
Words from the Lord that will never depart.
There’s nothing I share that is new or unique.
I share what I find, it’s God’s treasure I seek.
More precious than diamonds, than silver or gold
Are treasures in heaven that never grow old.
I pray that by capturing verses in rhyme,
As a way of conveying the thoughts I opine,
The words provide comfort and soundness of sleep,
Share nuggets of truth that are worthy to keep.
I pray they’re consistent with those from God’s Word,
Words shared through the ages; I pray they are heard.
Beautiful thoughts. You are gifted !
Words through the ages how true is that thought
Whispers of wisdom instilled in our hearts
Comfort from our Lord inspired by your poem.
