We pause to give honor, lay wreaths at their grave,
Those with the courage, the strong and the brave,
To those who fought valiantly, they paid the price,
Our heads bowed in silence for their sacrifice.
We remember this day those who fought by their side,
Who pause to pay tribute to buddies who’ve died.
We honor those veterans those who have served.
To them we give thanks, the respect they deserve.
We pray for the loved ones that they left behind.
We pray they know peace and that comfort they find.
Down through generations let’s never lose sight
Of the ones who stood bravely defending what’s right.
Let’s remember each day of this life that we live,
It’s not what we gain, rather what we can give.
This is a wonderful tribute, John. The meaning of this day is too often forgotten.
