I’m well beyond that middle age.
I’ve made it to life’s final stage,
That final quarter of my days.
I pray I’m strong this final phase.
Sometimes I like to reminisce …
The memories of ones I miss.
But I prefer to live each day
By sharing life to help some way.
We each have walked a different road,
Each carrying a different load.
We each can lend a helping hand,
Provide support, help someone stand.
Sometimes it only takes a smile,
Perhaps just visit for a while,
Or read aloud, take time to share,
It’s little things that show we care.
I pray I help along the way
By things I do and words I say.
