The ripples that form with each line that I write
Last only an instant, then fade out of sight.
I pray that the love that I share from within
Is conveyed by the words I jot down with a pen.
May my words form a blanket for warmth when you’re cold,
Bring blessings and comfort that never grow old.
I pray with my words as I send them away
As they come from the heart to touch someone each day.
Perhaps you are mourning, or hurting, in need.
I pray you find comfort in words that you read.
I pray you remember the joys from the past,
The times that you cherish, that linger and last.
I pray you’re surrounded by friends who can share
The good and the bad times, you know that they care.
I pray most of all when life comes to an end,
That you’re greeted by Jesus with “Welcome my friend.”
