Home

I never thought about it much when growing up,
What kind of person I’d turn out to be.
A small-town boy who loved to play much like a pup.
Those carefree days and friends, still part of me.

A black top road, a front porch swing, my childhood home
Seem distant now but linger still inside.
I traveled ‘round the world I’ve had a chance to roam.
Learned home is more than just where I reside.

Those small-town roots inside will always be a part.
They’ll always put a smile upon my face.
A home is built with memories that fill my heart,
A love that binds the heart, not just a place.

I’m grateful Lord for love that formed my cornerstone.
Your love is in my heart I’ll never be alone.

Paperback on Amazon. Hardback on Barnes and Noble by the end of the month (hopefully – may be sooner).

Congratulations on your book release! Hardback and/or digital?
If you can provide a review copy, happy to review it. I used to review books for the Education Department out here.
