Hard Times

Why should we carry our troubles alone?
The Lord is our strength, He is steady and strong.
Why do we tarry, put off, and postpone?
He’s not likely to ask us, “What took you so long?”

We need help when the hard times in life come our way.
We’re not made for those burdens too heavy to bear.
That load can be lifted, just take time to pray.
He carries the burdens we’re willing to share.

The troubles will come, some will linger, remain.
Others the Lord will remove, take away.
It’s not about winning or losing or gain,
The troubles we face as we go through each day,

But rather the faith that we build up inside,
As we walk with the Lord and remain at His side.
