As I search for the words to describe how I feel,
And reach deep in my heart to share something that’s real,
I pray I’m reflecting God’s light from above,
The words that I share are expressions of love.
At times when I’m weary and troubles abound
I need time with the Lord, morning silence, no sound.
That time, early morning, to read and to pray
To help me refocus, prepare for the day,
Remember the Lord is in charge of my life.
His Spirit’s inside me through troubles and strife.
Why should I choose worry, get all weighted down,
When the Lord offers joy and a smile not a frown?
Lord You are the love that I find in my heart.
You bring joy every morning before the day starts.
