A Blank Page

A blank page before me that’s yet to be filled,
The words not yet written, the lines are not done.
I could write about weather, the dawn and the chill,
Or just jot down my thoughts, let them flow and have fun.

But I’ll try to dig deeper and share from my heart,
Try to find words that come up from my soul.
Perhaps there’s some wisdom I’ll find to impart,
Or instead I’ll determine that’s not the main goal.

The Bible is filled with the wisdom we need.
Who am I to embellish with words of my own?
Today I encourage you, take time to read.
God’s in control, He still sits on the throne.

Lord grant us the wisdom we need for today.
May we focus on You as we fill up each page.
Help us discern what You have to convey,
As we walk with You daily through every life stage.
